Our father adored mariachi music. He especially loved "Spanish Eyes." The mariachis played outside the funeral service for our father, which was held at the beautiful Spanish mission church of the Basilica of San Juan Capistrano. The musicians then entered the church, and led the processional with the casket following, playing "Spanish Eyes." It was a wonderful tribute to our father. This band is made up of very talented musicians, who carry themselves with so much dignity and pride that they were invited to play inside the Basilica. The priest was the one who suggested that they play and walk down the aisle and lead the processional...which I think was breaking with the tradition of the church! Thank you!
